The Art-Festival in Unkeler Höfe is a cultural initiative of E. and H. J. Seidel , what always take place at the first weekend in September. This year, 47 artists exhibited in a total of 15 gardens and buildings throughout Unkel, Germany. Marie-Chantal Marx and her sculptures has now become one of my many favorite artists as well. I think her art is realistic and simply beautiful and I have to say that I find the dog sculptures she had on display very adorable as well.
Marie-Chantal Marx was born in 1964 in Brussels, Belgium. She now resides in Lebach, Germany were she founded her own Atelier/Gallery- Marx in 1999. Since 2010 she has exhibited her art at various exhibitions. Next to her ceramics and sculptures she paints as well.
Marie-Chantal graduated in Fine Arts, at the University of Applied Sciences le 75 in Brussels, Belgium. In 1985 she was a postgraduate at the Department of Illustration , University of Saint-Luc in Brussels, Belgium. During 1988-1994 she followed a training at the Academy de Watermael – Boisfort, department of sculpture Gerard Dederen, Thereafter she studied during 1999 tot 2012 at the Ecole des arts d’Uccle, ceramics with Patrick Piccarel, Over the years she followed different understudies in ceramic and sculpting by various artists in France, the Netherlands, Latvia and Germany.
