Within my mind, I step
into your created room
wherein everything is blue,
even the shape of you
among outlined objects,
brush striped black.
Desolation to be found,
spread out onto the canvas,
hides for hues of summer blues
beyond the one painted window,
persuasively alluring my eyes
begging me to hurry outside,
to walk through green fields
down to quiet water of a lake;
yet I stay to wonder about you,
captured in your room of blues.
Great ! Thanks !
Wow! I really love this one! Makes me want to wander through the art books looking for the painting you saw. 🙂 I can almost see it in my mind the way you “painted” it.
Thank you for your much appreciated comment! I’m happy to hear you could visualize the painting. 🙂
Ciao, Francina
Beautiful repetition, circling back to this amazing creative blue moment. The authors voice shares everything in the room with her reader and i enjoyed the glimpse…
Thank you , Brandy! Your comment is much appreciated! Ciao, Francina
Sharing someone’s blues can be a true act of love, you know. It would be good to eventually be able to lead the “blue” one out into the sunshine, of course!
I agree with you, Rose. Thank you for your much appreciated comment. Ciao, Francina
i loved reading this.
really spoke to me 🙂
Thank you, Erica! 🙂
This is very nice Francina–pensive and somber, i want to paint your poetry in elegant style in tones and hues of blue! 🙂
Thank you, Cynthia, for your much appreciated comment 🙂
Ciao, Francina
Oh I love the repetition of the blue and the artwork/relationship tie. Creative!
Thank you so much, Christy 🙂
Happy Easter,
Francina
Oh I love this one Francina, thank you 😀 x
Thank you very much , Jane 🙂 xx
Such a wonderful mood captured here Francina!
This is a really lovely poem and so cleverly written, I really like it
Christine xx
Thank you, Christine, for your kind words! 🙂 Ciao, Francina xx
Beautiful poem Francina!
Thank you, David 🙂
Weer zo’n mooi gedicht – blauw is de mooiste kleur! 🙂
Dank je wel, Ina, voor je bezoekje ! 🙂 hartelijke groetjes, Francina
In dit gedicht is blauw misschien iets minder mooi 🙂 dat dan weer wel. Het trieste zag ik pas na de tweede keer lezen.
blauw blijft mooi 🙂 ik vond het schilderij niet echt triest , meer fascinerend . Hele fijne Paasdagen!
As commented above, this brilliantly evokes Van Gogh’s “blue” period. So vibrant and colourful, yet focused solely on shades of one particular palate. Gorgeous. Francina, I love it.
Thank you, Holly… your lovely comment is much appreciated. 🙂 Francina
Lovely. The closing line is wonderful – I’ll be singing it all night. 🙂
Thank you, Ryan, singing is a good thing… 🙂
Francina, you have a wonderful gift
and you share it ….
in my own humble opinion,
this is one of the greatest things
anyone can do ….
thank you 🙂
Thank you , Jimi, for your kind and much appreciated comment. Francina 🙂
Lovely…I’m actually thinking of a Matisse…
Thank you, Jennifer. I can see why you thought of a Matisse painting, he has blue rooms too. I don’t remember the name of the painting or the artist, I saw this painting years ago in the Modern Tate in London and I never wrote down the name.
Ciao, Francina
The curious, wondering mood you have evoked within this beautiful poem makes me curious as to the painting that inspired this wonderful piece. Yet I’m still content to just sit amongst the sweetly flowing scene you have captured.
Really very wonderful!
Thank you, Tikarma. As I replied to Jennifer I don’t remember the Artist’s name but I never forgot the painting.
Have a wonderful day, Francina xx
This is absolutely beautiful, Francina, I love it. ~ Julie xox
Thank you, Julie, for your generous comment! 🙂
Ciao, Francina xxx
Absolutely beautiful Francina. I too am captivated by the Artist as I am of the Art. Thank you for writing this poem, it brought to mind Van Gogh.
Jackie
Thank you, Jackie! This was one of the paintings you at first sight think..hmm.. and then take a better look and again . Some paintings you just don’t forget. It was not van Gogh , and sadly I can not tell you the name of the artist because I forgot the name.
Ciao, Francina
And I wonder about the painting which provoked your feelings.
Although I don’t have to see it. Your poem evokes a mood so well
David
Thank you, David! I have to keep you wonder though, sorry. I forgot who it was and the name of the painting I saw years ago.
Ciao, Francina 🙂
Oh, this is so beautiful and elegant, Francina~ xx
Thank you, Lauren, for your kind comment 🙂 Francina xx
Brilliantly evoked – luvvit!
